Pitch’n Praise is a camping youth retreat that happens annually on the May long weekend. Our desire is to facilitate a weekend where communities can connect together and grow in their relationship with each other and with Jesus.
The world can often be an over whelming place. All the troubles, anxieties, and despair can become the focus of our attention . At Pitch’n Praise 2017 we want to get back into Rhythm.
So we have no reason to despair. Despite the fact that our outer humanity is falling apart and decaying, our inner humanity is breathing in new life every day. You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes. All of that is fleeting; it will eventually fade away. Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Pitch ‘n Praise has more than just Sessions and Concerts – here are a few of the other features you have to look forward to:
PNP 2017 Features
There are some many things to experience at Pitch’n Praise, here are just some of the things you have to look forward to:
Dodgeball, Soccer, Sticks, Ball Hockey, Volleyball, and Tug of War.
On Friday night you can sign up with your group to play any one or all of the sports tournaments going on throughout the weekend.
The Games Room
If games are your thing – on screen or off – than we have just the place for you. The Arcade at Pitch’n Praise has a great selection of fun video games, board games or cards for you and your friends to enjoy. There will even be a Euchre Tournament.
The Studio provides a quieter space for people to spend some time creating. It could be drawing, painting, beading, or journaling the Studio is the place to visit for all things artistic.
Each night the café features great beverages and live music. Bring your instruments and you may even get the opportunity to join in.
Workshops, Seminars and Crafts
Saturday and Sunday afternoon are packed full of different options for you and your friends. You could learn to knit or hear how different organizations are helping to make the world a better place. From testimonies to break dancing there is something for everyone.
Each night the Princess Hall comes alive with the beautiful (or sometimes terrible) sounds of karaoke. Whether you’re a virtuoso or a newbie it’s a great time; have some fun getting up in front and singing familiar songs with friends.
Giant Dutch Blitz
Friday evening bring a group to the Dining Hall and play a game of Dutch Blitz but on a large scale.
Sunday Afternoon in the Café come enjoy an afternoon of local Ontario music.
If you consider yourself a bit of a movie buff and can’t see yourself going an entire weekend without a film to enjoy well, no worries! We have a selection of movies playing in the Blair Theatre. Catch some lighthearted films in the evenings or take in a thinker followed by discussion in the afternoons.
The Snack Shack
Probably one of the best poutines this side of Quebec – the snack shack is open every afternoon and evening; as is the Café if coffee is in your blood. Or, if you are craving some street meat, head down to the Big Top and grab a Burger or Hot Dog.
The Irish Folk Dance
On Saturday night bring your group and join in on a traditional Irish folk dance. No need for experience the caller will guide you you through.
